Regional BRIDGE “Training the facilitators” workshop in Beirut

From September 1 to 12, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) organized the first regional BRIDGE* “Training the Facilitators” (TtF) workshop in Beirut.

The workshop gathered from 8 Arab countries 24 participants coming from UNDP, including UNDP LEAP, and the League of Arab States (LAS).

The ten days workshop aimed at partially accrediting a high-quality group of facilitators for developing the League of Arab States (LAS) and UNDP’s long-term training and professional development program.

The four BRIDGE facilitators trained the participants in existing content and content development and methodology of BRIDGE. They provided them with supported experience in conducting BRIDGE, the opportunity to modify existing and develop new BRIDGE materials and a mechanism for assessing the participants’ capacity to facilitate BRIDGE to the required standard.

*BRIDGE—Building Resources in Democracy, Governance, and Elections – is an internationally recognized curriculum designed by and for election administrators to better understand the electoral process.
